Are there any medical conditions that prevent implant placement?

Actually, no. If you have conditions such as circulatory system disease, kidney damage, a tendency to bleed, or a compromised immune system, you should always discuss this with your doctor. In some cases, medication side effects can affect the healing process, so your doctor should be informed of all medications you regularly take during your initial consultation. This will allow you to be informed about all possible treatment options and help you make the right decision.

Can I have an implant if I have diabetes?

Yes, but your condition must be carefully monitored. Uncontrolled or untreated diabetes can adversely affect the healing process for metabolic reasons. If you have any concerns, we will consult with your diabetologist.

Is it possible to be allergic to implants?

Dental implants have been available on the market for over 40 years. Since then, no case of allergy to titanium implants has been recorded. Titanium does not contain any components that could cause allergies and is completely harmless to the body. Of the materials used for crowns and bridges, ceramic materials are most compatible with the body. However, the risk of allergy varies with metals and plastics. Let us advise you which material is best for you.

Can implants be a contraindication to MRI?

No. Implants are made of titanium, which is paramagnetic, meaning it is weakly attracted to magnesium, and therefore does not constitute a contraindication to MRI. In this case, it is important that the prosthetic elements placed on the implants are also made of titanium or ceramic.

Are there differences in quality between implants?

As with other products, we distinguish between very high-quality implants and lower-quality models. For example, there are differences in the shape of the implants and, in particular, in the type of surface. During your consultation, you can learn about the properties of the implants we use in our clinic, our experience and observations, as well as the long-term availability of replacement parts in case your dentures need to be restored in the future.

I only need a few implants, but I would also like all my teeth to be whiter and more attractive. What happens in this case?
We can whiten darker teeth. Unattractive front teeth can be covered with veneers. Implant crowns can be lighter from the start, and their shape can be modified accordingly. We’ll help you find the right solution for almost any problem.

Is implant placement truly a one-day procedure?

Yes. Multiple implants can be placed in a single visit. The procedure is performed efficiently and painlessly.

Will I feel pain after the procedure?

In the first few days after the procedure, your gums may be more tender, but they will no longer bleed. For a short time, only a slight swelling of the cheek may cause discomfort. However, most patients do not even need painkillers the next day and can return to their normal lives. This, of course, depends on individual preferences and the extent of the procedure.

How should I care for my teeth on implants?

Implant-supported teeth not only look like natural teeth but can also be easily cleaned with a toothbrush—including an electric toothbrush—and toothpaste. When brushing, pay special attention to the areas between the teeth and gums. These areas are colonized by bacteria, which, while attacking the gums, can eventually attack the bone around the implant. This can be prevented by using dental floss, small interdental brushes, or an irrigator. Additionally, at regular intervals—every 3-6 months—you should have checkups and professional dental cleanings. This will remove plaque, and your teeth will look like new again!
