This is the cutting-edge technology used in the computer-aided design and fabrication of prosthetic restorations. The prosthetic laboratories partnered with the Dr. Łyszczarz Clinic Dental Center utilize these advanced techniques to prepare prosthetic restorations for our patients.
What does it involve? CAD stands for Computer Aided Design, which roughly translates to computer-aided design. This term encompasses systems for virtually designing restorations on a computer screen. In the case of prosthetic restorations, the framework or finished restoration, created by a dental technician, is “constructed” using appropriate computer programs and will only physically appear once the machine has actually fabricated it. CAM stands for Computer Aided Manufacturing. This term refers to specialized software designed to plan and execute the fabrication of a virtually designed object. Therefore, the process of creating a prosthetic restoration is also computer-controlled. A special machine cuts the previously designed restoration from the appropriate material with precision down to microns. This ensures extraordinary accuracy and, consequently, provides the patient with confidence, durability, safety, comfort, convenience, and the highest possible aesthetics.
Anesthesia technologies. The Wand Computer-Aided anesthesia

WAND computer-assisted anesthesia technology helps us create a Gentle Zone in our office. The exceptionally gentle yet effective anesthesia will be a neutral experience for you. You might not even notice it being administered. It will be a great start to a pleasant, regular appointment with your dentist.
We use the Wand painless computer-assisted anesthesia for all dental procedures.
What does this type of anesthesia look like? It all begins with setting up a small computer, to which a small tip resembling a thin pen or, as our little patients prefer, a magic wand, is connected by a tube. Once the patient is comfortably seated in the chair, the doctor takes this “pen” and gently places it against the gum. The device begins to administer the anesthetic fluid, and the doctor slowly inserts the needle into the desired location. This is practically imperceptible to the patient. The secret lies in the so-called anesthetic sheath. This is created by the anesthetic fluid constantly surrounding the needle tip, slowly seeping out drop by drop. The gum and tissue are anesthetic even before the needle tip touches them.
When the Wand tip reaches the area where the anesthetic fluid is to be administered, the computer applies the fluid at a physiological rate. This means that it is delivered slowly enough so that the pressure of the injected fluid does not expand the tissues or cause discomfort, and therefore is safe and painless. The entire process takes approximately 2 minutes, and once completed, the doctor can begin the procedure.
Digital X-ray (including 3D imaging)
At the Dr. Łyszczarz Clinic Dentistry Center, we have a fully digital X-ray laboratory. Digital images offer enormous diagnostic capabilities. They can be easily enlarged, reduced, displayed negatively, or positively, and the contrast, saturation, and opacity can be adjusted. And that’s not all. The X-ray image displayed on the monitor allows the specialist to take the necessary measurements and conduct a detailed assessment. For the patient, this guarantees a precise diagnosis of the problem. And an accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective treatment. This is a complete revolution compared to analog X-rays (taken on film). Using modern digital X-rays, we reduce the radiation dose required for the examination several times, which is significantly safer for the patient. At the Dr. Łyszczarz Clinic Dental Center, we use devices from Kodak, a world leader in X-ray diagnostics:
The Kodak 9300 C allows for panoramic dental imaging, which serves as the basis for assessing the condition of the entire dentition, including the temporomandibular joints and maxillary sinuses. Importantly, the Kodak 9300 C also allows for 3D imaging. This allows for precise localization of impacted teeth and lesions, gathering detailed information about bone structure, and simulating implant placement, which significantly improves the safety of the procedure and minimizes the risk of complications. Three-dimensional diagnostics of the paranasal sinuses and temporomandibular joints are also possible. This device also allows for highly accurate diagnosis of malocclusions (cephalometric x-ray and 3D tomography), which plays a key role in orthodontic treatment planning and monitoring.
The Kodak 2200 and RVG 6100 radiovisiography systems are completely safe, modern devices with minimal radiation dose. They are used to take small, pinpoint, highly accurate, and precise X-ray images. They allow for precise diagnosis of permanent and primary teeth, the surrounding bone structure, and soft tissue. They reveal, for example, supernumerary and damaged teeth, the effects of root canal treatment, and pathological changes in their surroundings.
Stern Weber dental units
A dental unit is a fundamental tool for every dentist. The quality of procedures performed depends largely on it. We have equipped the Dr Łyszczarz Clinic Dental Center with exceptionally modern, functional, and comfortable units from the renowned Stern Weber company, equipped with, among other things, intraoral cameras, allowing each patient to see their teeth in real time, with high magnification, and the dentist can demonstrate the condition of their teeth on a monitor and explain the procedure to be performed.
Sedoanalgesia
This type of anesthesia, performed at the Dr Łyszczarz Clinic Dental Center by an experienced anesthesiologist, involves inducing a state of deep sedation in the patient, often combined with light sleep. During the procedure, the patient experiences no fear or anxiety; their movements are slow, very slow, or completely unresponsive to what’s happening around them. In short, the patient undergoes the procedure in a state of complete indifference and sedation (they don’t care what happens to them). This is achieved through the administration of appropriate medications by the anesthesiologist, which result in a significant, general state of relaxation and sedation. Sedoanalgesia also helps control symptoms such as vomiting and hypertension. Another advantage of sedation is that the patient does not remember unpleasant moments related to the procedure (so-called retrograde amnesia). Despite deep sedation, the patient retains the ability to breathe independently and respond to the doctor’s instructions.
This method is primarily used for complex surgical and implant procedures, such as those involving bone grafting, but is not limited to it – virtually any dental procedure can be performed using sedation. This is particularly helpful for patients with dentophobia (an intense fear of the dentist), who routinely undergo dental procedures using this type of anesthesia.
